The Oak Tree Village Express was designed for day to day as well as commercial use with virtually no maintenance. The heavy duty constructed fiberglass is supported by a steel welded frame (chassis). The chassis uses four 1" spindles with tapered bearings, grease seal, and a grease cap to ensure many years of service. Four 480-8 wheel and tires are used on each train car. Cars have front end steering for better tracking. We provide padded seats and back rests, safety belts, and wheel covers. A permanently mounted fiberglass roof is also included on all train cars. Each car has a weight capacity of up to 2,350 lbs.
The color selection for train can be made to match the theme of your park or location.
The fiberglass locomotive body comes with all the bells and whistles which includes: a headlight in the front, an 8" brass bell, a 4 flute bellows-type whistle which can be heard for approximately two blocks. The power unit, under the fiberglass locomotive, is a John Deere model X745, 3 cylinder, 24 hp liquid cooled, diesel tractor. This also has a hydrostatic transmission and can travel up to speeds of 8 mph.
This is a very small portion of what goes into the manufacturing of every train at Oak Tree Village Express Inc. Please call us with any questions regarding building your special train or tram.
